Belmar Man Charged with Sex Crime

Scheduled to make first court appearance Wednesday

A Belmar man charged by borough police last week with a sex crime is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, documents show.

Antelmo Evans-Rosales, 26, of 14th Avenue, was arrested Saturday for allegedly committing criminal sexual contact on a female victim the previous day, the criminal complaint says.

Evans-Rosales is charged with making sexual contact with the woman, not named in the complaint, "for the purpose of sexually arousing or sexually gratifying himself, or to humilate or degrade the victim," according to the complaint.

The complaint says Evans-Rosales lifted up the victim's skirt, pulled down her underwear and put "his penis on her buttocks."

Evans-Rosales, who was being held at Monmouth County jail on $20,000 bail with no ten-percent option, is due to appear in municipal court on Wednesday, the complaint says.

As a conditions of his release, he is prohibited from phone, mail or personal contact with the alleged victim and from returning to the scene of the alleged crime, the complaint says.
