Belmar Man Arrested on Gun, Drug Charges
Police make eight drug-related arrests during first two weeks of summer
A Belmar man was arrested late last month in the borough and charged with possession of drugs and an illegal handgun, according to police.
Max Maiolini, 20, was arrested June 24 in a borough 7-Eleven parking lot and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a handgun, according to a release from the Belmar Police Department.
Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest, the release says.
Belmar Police made seven other alleged drug-related arrests between June 18 and July 1, the release says:
— Desiree Brooks, 20, of Piscataway, was arrested June 22 at the corner of 8th Avenue and Ocean Avenue and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Special Officer Matthew Richardson made the arrest.
— Jonathan Simpkins, 18, of Jackson, was arrested June 29 at the corner of 13th Avenue and Ocean Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Special Officer Ryan Maguire made the arrest.
— Andrew Baranyi, 18, of Ewing, was arrested June 30 on Tenth Avenue beach and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Special Officer Christopher Makwinsky made the arrest.
— Thomas Simon, 18, of Ewing, was arrested June 30 on Tenth Avenue beach and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Special Officer Matthew Richardson made the arrest.
— Damion Clark, 36, of Newark, was arrested July 1 at the corner of Fifth Avenue and A Street and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Special Officer Ryan Maguire made the arrest.
— Anthony Fletcher, 19, of Neptune City, was arrested July 1 in the 100 block of Tenth Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and underage consumption of alcohol. Special Officer Daniel Schlisserman made the arrest.
— Brett Dodge, 19, of Piscataway, was arrested July 1 on Eighth Avenue beach and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Special Officer Anthony Steneck made the arrest.
